About GentleStretch Yoga
GentleStretch Yoga opened in 2004 as a yoga studio dedicated to teaching Svaroopa®-style yoga. It has become a home for students looking for this different style of yoga, a style of yoga accessible to bodies in great shape, out-of-shape or in-between. (What is Svaroopa Yoga?)
Classes are always small - no more than 7 students. You always receive individual attention.
Personal attention, given to every student in every class, ensures proper alignments for maximum benefits in every pose.
GentleStretch Yoga is the perfect place to find, begin and continue your yogic journey toward bliss.

About Mary Beth Lewis
Mary Beth has experienced the joy of teaching yoga for 14 years. She began her teacher training classes with Swami Nirmalananda Saraswati (Rama Berch) where she became trained in Svaroopa(R) Yoga and Embodyment(R) Therapy.
In 2004 she became a Registered Yoga Teacher (at the 200 hour level) with Yoga Alliance. Since that time she continues taking teacher training classes to reinforce and advance her teaching techniques and abilities and is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT) with Yoga Alliance. Now, with over 700 hours of teacher training she loves teaching Svaroopa even more than when she first started teaching.
Mary Beth says, “When I went to my first Svaroopa yoga class in 2003 I felt as though I had "come home". It felt so natural and left me feeling so wonderfully stress-free that I knew I had to share this with others.”
